Dior Lip Maximizer Review

Always dreamed of fuller, plumper lips without the pain and price of aesthetic fillers? Well I have just the product for you! The Dior Lip Maximizer is a staple product in my makeup bag. Keep reading to find out why...

Ok, so I'm a massive sucker for a good lip gloss and I have more than I can even begin to count! If I had to pick a favourite from my whole collection though, it would definitely be the Dior Lip Maximizer gloss! I currently own two different colours from the range, the 'Pink 001' and 'Copper Gold 005' shades.

The packaging of these lip glosses are transparent acrylic tubes that have the name of the product on one of the sides and the brand name 'Dior' etched into the side opposite. When you want to apply the gloss, the silver cap on top simply twists upwards to reveal the application wand. I really like the packaging of the Lip Maximiser as it looks smart, is easy to use and is compact enough to fit nicely in your bag for a quick top up on a night out (after one or two Pornstar Martinis!).

The formula of these lip glosses contains hyaluronic acid which ensures your lips feel maximum hydration when you have it on. This ingredient is also used to plump your lips giving them a more full appearance. I really do find that this works when I'm wearing these lip glosses. One thing I love about this product is that the formula is really smooth and not sticky in the slightest. It also gives your lips the most amazing shine! In regards to the colour pay off, these lip glosses aren't super pigmented but they're not meant to be, they are more like a sheer gloss with a slight tint to them depending on which colour you go for.

Even though I absolutely love this product, I don't tend to wear it every day. This is simply because it is a premium lip gloss with a lot of volume and shine to it so I like to try and save the ones I own for when I'm going out somewhere nice. They do last ages though and if I were to wear this lipgloss everyday I still think it would be quite a while until it ran out.

These are the swatches for the two different colours that I have. The shade on top is 'Copper Gold 005' and the one below is 'Pink 001'.

The copper gold shade is one of the brand new colours that Dior have recently added to the Lip Maximizer collection. As I already have the pink shade and love how this makes my lips look, when I saw this new gold colour I just had to have it! This shade is now definitely my new favourite. It's a lovely, shimmery bronze that looks amazing over a nude coloured lipstick.

The pink shade is extremely sheer but I feel that this photo doesn't do it justice at all. It does give the slightest hint of colour to your lips which is nice and not overpowering. It also creates a really lovely shine and definitely makes your lips look fuller. I love pairing this over the top of a creamy pink lip stick to give my lips a bit of oomph!

The Dior Lip Maximizer retails at £28. If I'm honest, I wouldn't usually spend this much on a lipgloss but I received it as a present once and have loved it ever since! It does last a while as well so you do get your moneys worth. I would say if you are looking for a long-lasting lip gloss that adds volume to your lips with an amazing shine, no stickiness and lots of hydration, then this is the product for you! There are currently eight gorgeous shades in the Lip Maximizer. I've included a couple of links below if you are interested in viewing the whole collection.
